What We Look For
We are looking for students with a genuine, sustained interest in economics — not just academic performance. We want students who read beyond the syllabus, who are curious about how economies work, and who want to engage seriously with economic ideas.
Membership is selective. All applications are reviewed by the Society's Co-Presidents.
As a Member, You'll
Attend bi-weekly Briefings — in-person discussion sessions
Have the opportunity to chair debates
Engage with the Society's internal intellectual community
Build research, writing, and argument skills
Compete for recognition judged by UAE economists
Note: Essay competitions and debates are open citywide regardless of membership. You don't need to be a member to participate in those programs.
